Only boring people get bored

Inspiration is stealing. I am a thief. I will breathe in your ideas and blow them into a green balloon until it pops. And when it does, I will catch all of them with a giant butterfly net and eat every single one, one by one.

Then I will digest them and their nutrients will soak through every cell in my body until I sweat, bleed and piss all of your ideas away.

Inside my brain, the leftovers will mold into a style of creativity and then become expelled through either my fingertips or my vocal chords.

At the end, they will turn back into their original form and become inspiration for another thief to steal without permission.

  1. "Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is nonexistent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery—celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from—it’s where you take them to.”"

  2. I got the idea for my little bit of writing from him and from some thing I read somewhere else on the internet.

    So cool.
