Open Submissions 50-to-1

Hello all! My blog presence has been slim to none. I hope you're okay with that, I truly do. You know how life can be sometimes.

Anywho, I promised my good pal, Paul Mullin, that I'd spread the word:

50 to 1 is still alive and thriving thanks to Mr. Mullin. As the former editor in chief, I told him I would spread word of his call for submissions. So, kind folk, take this as your sign. When's the last time you wrote something you felt rocked? Flash fiction takes only a few moments and it is incredible to see how much can be said in so few words (fifty to be exact). At 50 to 1, everything rocks if you put some heart into it. You'll never know what you might find you're capable of.

Thank you in advance. And keep on spreadin' the word that 50 words is down for 1 line and then some. (See what I did there?) Open to new and established writers, very few guidelines, lots of love.

Untitled Flash Fiction Written In My Hotel Room In Ohio 2011

There is a viral revolution in my blood. The white blood cells (WBC) are protesting some political movement my brain is trying to push - something about muscle evaluation between self-assessment and budget spending data. I don't know where my stance lies. I mean this is a democracy and the WBC have every right to voice their opinion, but there has to be some sort of traditional loyalty behind the leader of my humanistic machine. I guess what I'm saying is, I'll see where the primaries go and make a decision then. Ask me later.

Finally Forward

Nerves rattling my insides like a bird cage full of surround sound, my instincts tell me to stand up and move forward. I am everything that I have ever been. I am all that I was and will be. But more than anything, I want this notch on the timeline to be a turning point. From this day forward, I will arise. Manhood will have a definition compatible to me - existing from this moment on. I will have bones like will, unbreakable by human curse.

I will be alive.

Tomorrow, I will be alive.
