Organic vs. Synthetic (It's More Than a Diet)

Whenever possible, when choosing what to feed and nourish your body with, take the beneficial choice: organic over synthetic.

Organic wins longevity every time.

You are what you consume. Right down to the molecular level. This is a fact, not fiction or fake news. The things you put into your body impact your frequency. Your vibe. Your presence.

That goes for food.

For drink.

For thought.

For feeling.

News.

Media.

Medicine and religion.

For science.

For math.

For synthesis and syntax.

The deeper you dive, the more you realize that everything about you is connected to the torus of energy surrounding you at all times. All of it, always.

“When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world.” –  John Muir

With this understanding - this lens - comes a choice: intake the organic or the synthetic? What do you feed your body, mind, and soul? Are you paying attention to your diet?

As children we have little input on that choice. We don’t yet understand our brains. But as we grow older, more knowledgeable and wise, we are capable of learning how to learn (and unlearn). We develop self-awareness and we grow to understand the value of that choice.

Some of us are late bloomers, not learning that until later in adulthood. Others fall on the opposing side of that spectrum and experience that particular truth in their youth. (Students in this category are often labeled as prodigies or gifted and talented for having such a skill.)

No matter when - or how - we must come to face those facts. Our body, mind, and soul are our temple, and they are all connected at all times. Through proper maintenance and care, its longevity can outlive those who only worship from within. Life is about gardening one’s soul, and the only way to do that is to harness an organic growth mindset. Not one built upon social media and motivational quotes.

In applying this, one of those previously mentioned choices becomes abundantly and obviously clear. And, honestly, almost even the only one we should strive for. We are human. We are organic and we thrive through discomfort, not through the delusions of an algorithm meant to keep us comfortable. It is in our nature.

So the takeaway:

Try to see things in a way you’ve never seen them before. Follow their roots, dig in the dirt. Embrace what you truly are by bathing in what you want to be.
